What a drastic change in the Denver Real Estate Market. After 5+ years of a buyer’s market, it is now a VERY strong seller’s market.
There are just not enough homes on the market to meet the buyer demand. Demand is not exceptionally high, but the amount of homes on the market is at historical lows.
Last Saturday I put a #Centennial home on the market at 1:00 pm. By Sunday evening I had three competing offers – one at asking price and two higher than asking price.
By Monday morning those offers will competing against each other and the offers were now $5,000 over asking price.
The Denver area real estate market is showing a year-over-year increase of 13.4 percent according to Zillow.
Renting in the Denver area has also become more expensive – rents were up 9.1% year-over-year.
If you are looking to buy, you need an experienced agent that can position your offer to beat out the other offers. If you are considering selling, this is a great time. You need an expert to help you position your home correctly for this market and to help you deal with multiple offers.
