The news that home buyer bidding wars have drastically decreased is great news for buyers. You might still run into some competition in buying a home, but we are no longer seeing 15 competing offers the first weekend the home is on the market.
That will allow home buyers more time to make a decision and less disappointment in not winning the bidding war again.
A report from Redfin shows that realtors nationwide are seeing competition in 13 percent of the offers they write for their clients versus competition in 53 percent of offers a year ago.
A little closer to home, Denver is seeing 20 percent of their offers facing bidding wars compared to 50 percent last year facing bidding war.
